Bevaru

Through video and text Bevaru focuses on the voice of the worker, highlighting labour issues and exposing injustices and disrimination at the work site and  at home. We organise online webinars and talks led by workers to share their perspectives on the lockdown, work, injustices, forms of discrimination they face on a daily basis. We produce short films representing the women workforce in the city specifically to put pressure on concerned authorities to address these issues with immediate effect. These film can also be used for advocacy on fighting for women workers’ rights at a state and a national level. We also produce reports on living and working conditions of migrant workers. The reports  record workers’ grievances, redressal mechanisms, and role of the state, police and other authorities, and workers’ initiatives that emerge during this period. These reports are published publicly and shared with the media, civil society, policy makers and Government authorities.
