At Bluemoon Records, we are passionate about music which informs our sense of place in the world. Over the years, we have built a roster of independent musicians whose practice reflects a diversity of lived experience across India. In the future, we hope to extend collaborations to enable cross border conversations in Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Burma, Bhutan and Afghanistan.
Rooted in diverse socio- cultural landscapes, their songs and life journeys are reflective of local memory, history, resistance and imagination. Straddling multiple genres, their music takes the listener on a journey across space and time.
We hope to ensure access to national and international circuits so that their music and stories can travel afar. Our endeavour is to ensure the musicians have access to opportunities and resources, while simultaneously introducing the world to their rich imaginations and music practices. At Bluemoon Records we offer the following services to musicians:
- Live Performances and Gigs as opportunities for musicians to perform in diverse spaces and interact with different communities
- Residential gatherings for cultural exchanges between musicians to create work
- Field recordings, music videos, short films to release singles and full length albums on different platforms
- Production and Distribution through our affiliated networks
